I am sitting down looking back on the last 3 months and amazed that it has been so long since my last real post. It is time to get back to contributing my learnings here.
One of my uncles, who is 81, told me this summer that a person spends all his life learning, gaining knowledge and wisdom and if he/she does pass that knowledge on it will be lost in passing.
It is so easy to get caught up in the day to day of life and forget to spend time capturing all the knowledge, good thoughts and wisdom we all gain each day, week, month and year.
A lot has happened since May, thus there will be a lot to write about. As you may see from a previous post that I am expanding this blog to be more then SharePoint. I was about to start another blog that would be all things but SharePoint and then I go thinking that life is a mash up and with the use of technology you can bring order to this mash up (tags/Groupings). So you can follow it all or just pick a category.
May was an exciting month for me. In my field, HealthCare, I went to a conference that dealt with how to utilize the information you have about your members and pick the right communication method and the message to send. It was inspirational and was lead by a company called Silverlink.
In June I launched a program utilizing the information learned in May to reach our hardest to reach members. The program was so successful that we exceeded our goal by 100%. In addition the program cost only 20% of the first months revenue.
July brought much change to my life and many of my coworkers. LifeMasters lost a major client and this caused a major layoff. So as of July 17th I am looking for a new career. You can find out more about me at the following sites:
August I am looking forward to finding that new opportunity. I am also excited to be presenting at the Sacramento SharePoint User Group. I will be going over many of my solutions found at www.bitsofsharepoint.com. Here is a link to the announcement: http://sacsharepoint.com/Lists/Announcements/DispForm.aspx?ID=24&Source=http%3A%2F%2Fsacsharepoint%2Ecom%2Fdefault%2Easpx
Also, this month I will be talking about some of the successes I have had in HealthCare and will be rolling out some more solutions for SharePoint.
I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and expanding what I contribute here.
