Blog Setup - Comments and Spam - Today's date column
OK, I have been told that SharePoint Blog is not very robust and that having a Blog with the ability for others to post comments anonymously means that SPAM will be more prevalent.  I have been looking for ways to help address this and I will be trying the following solution.
I will create a column in the comments list that required the poster to put in today's date.  If the today's date does not equal the created date then the post will be flagged.  I will have another column, a calculated column that will create the flag.  If this proves to be reliable then I will setup a work flow that will delete post that do not have a matching Today column with the created date.

How did you get comments to work at all?

I have an OOTB Sharepoint blog set up. You can make a comment, but the "post title" field is never populated. Did you have to do something special to connect the posts and comments lists when you set yours up?
